We had a great experience at the Growler Pines Tiger Preserve. From beginning to end, it was a memorable day. The family is very kind. Ryan was very knowledgeable and the tigers were very comfortable in his care. My oldest daughter loves tigers and so we planned to come celebrate her 9th birthday. It made her feel special to have announced her 9th birthday, as it happened to coincide with the Tiger twins’ birthday party. I have a physical disability and his wife was very kind to let me ride up the drive to the tiger pens. Also, we unfortunately had a flat tire just as we pulled in and Ryan offered to help us by putting our spare tire on. We would’ve been in so much trouble without his help. I am greatly impressed by how friendly and pleasant everyone was. It was a great day for my daughters. We left with some tiger treasures and wonderful memories. I highly recommend this to everyone! Especially, tiger...
Read morePretty cool experience. The bears are newer additions and while not as big as one would expect they are still rather quite large. The tigers are the real show and are at times begrudgingly performing but who could blame them? They're retired lol, would you want to get up and work on your day off, no but you do it for the love of the animals. Coming here, a portion of your admission and what you buy at the gift shop goes to support conservation efforts beyond this place. I'm happy a place like this exists that helps these animals thrive and enjoy life well beyond their wild expectations if they were out in the wild on their own. They look well and happy and you can tell the owners really care for and love these animals and for the past 39 surprise federal inspections in a row they have passed flawlessly. HIGHLY recommend this place if you get the chance to come, where else could you legit get to see...
Read moreI had family visiting our area from out of state and we were looking for fun things to do. We stumbled upon this absolute gem via Facebook. Where to even begin... The cost of the ticket is very affordable. You do need to make reservations for the tickets on the website, so make sure you do that instead of just showing up at the tiger preservation. The family that owns this establishment makes it very apparent that working with both the big cats and the public is truly their passion. The performance was thrilling and engaging; the Q&A session afterward was highly educating. The trainer that leads the tigers has a great sense of humor and the relationship he shares with the big cats is both endearing and genuine. His wife is very friendly and knowledgeable as well. I truly cannot recommend this experience enough. You...
