My husband, disabled, sat in front of Press box which was shaded, at the top(my husband has no feeling below the knees in his legs). There was no sign designation in this area for 'Quarterback Club Only'. While at the concessions, I look back to find my husband with our chairs and a police officer being moved from the location. Some KIND spectators told us where the handicap area was located on the home side.
We were with the opposition, but due to his handicap we needed to park close to the gate, which there was only one gate. Many spectators waited in line from 10 min before the game until deep in the 2 ND quarter waiting to get into the gate due to there being only 2 windows at the 1 gate. There is no safe place to commute from the home gate to the visiting stands for a handicap spectator.
The Paul Ward stadium is beautiful, and the renovations over the years have benefited many. I have been attending football games in Huntington since the late 1970s, every other year. The experience Friday night was not warranted. Please put some QB Club Seating signs. Try to have more than one gate so the visiting spectators don't have to traverse the hills on either side of the home stands to get to the visiting side. Please be...
