Huntington Dog Beach is a great place to take your furry friend for a day of fun in the sun. The beach is well-maintained and clean, with plenty of sand and water for your dog to play in. There is also a doggy drinking fountain, doggy showers, and even a special fenced-in area just for small dogs. The people at Huntington Dog Beach are also very friendly and welcoming. I have never had a problem with anyone there, and my dog always has a great time socializing with the other dogs. The only downside to Huntington Dog Beach is that it can be difficult to find parking. We usually have to wait on someone to leave before we can get a spot. However, this is not a major issue, and it is definitely worth the wait to visit this great beach. Overall, I highly recommend Huntington Dog Beach to anyone looking for a fun and safe place to take their dog. It is a great place for your dog to run around, play in the water, and socialize with other dogs. Here are some tips for visiting Huntington Dog Beach: Bring plenty of water for your dog, especially if it is a hot day. Be sure to clean up after your dog. Keep your dog on a leash at all times, unless you are in the designated off-leash area. Be aware of the tide schedule and avoid visiting the beach at high...
ย ย ย Read moreThis dog beach is the largest that I know, stretching from just north of Huntington Beach pier to Seapoint St. There is even a booth at the top of the path (at the most northerly path to the beach) that sells dog beach merchandise. The one gripe is that parking is insane if you come on a weekend or any other peak time. I tend to just skip the most northerly pair of parking lots (near Seapoint St.), which tends to have a long line of cars stretching down the shoulder/bike lane of southbound PCH. This line occurs because people camp out at the entrance to the parking lot, afraid of missing a spot. If you surpass this most northerly pair of lots and go to the pair of lots closer to the pier, you will wait much less for a spot. There are paths near all lots, leading to the dog beach. FYI bring change or credit card for parking meters, which are conveniently located near any parking spot. On a side note, there's another dog beach at Granada Beach, Long Beach, known as "Rosie's Dog Beach" which is smaller and much easier with parking. It's a smaller designated dog beach, but still draws many fur-babies and owners, with less...
ย ย ย Read moreParking here is 350 an hour. The bathroom for the dog beach area is all the way up by the parking area and is portapotty. Sometimes this bathroom area is super nasty. I try to avoid. All that being said this beach is super clean and very wide. You can interact with other people or have space so your dogs can roam. This beach has really grown on me and itโs actually my favorite beach as of lately. I think itโs because the sunsets here are so beautiful and they have so many beautiful shells that you can collect and thereโs a lot of nature. My kids love to dig for sand crabs(I think thereโs sand crabs I donโt know what Iโll put a picture) we always let them go, of course. I like the regular beach in this area also want to meet this is the best dog beach in all the areas that Iโve been to. Oh, did I mention that? Itโs horrible to try to park over here in the Dog area you always have to wait but I donโt seem to mind that either because I keep going back. Also, when youโre parked by the Dog area, thereโs nothing walking distance to go get snacks or drinks so you have to plan before hand. Iโm really not sure why this my...
