I highly recommend this be on everyone's bucket list if you are able and in West Virginia or find yourself in West Virginia. The details in absolutely everything there were amazing. From the exhibits to the educational aspect, and they didn't forget to make it fun and memorable for the children as well. There is so much to see and learn. I honestly wish we could have had more time there, I'm sure I didn't see it all. But, the best part of my experience there was when I went into the church and met the most wonderful woman who I thought at first was a employee, like the others I found throughout, which mind you are all amazing in the educating of every aspect of the park, but after I listened to her tell me the story of the man who wanted that church built, and the story behind the church and then revealed it was her husband! The owner of this wonderful place was sitting in front of me telling me this story, not just one of the employees but the owner. She was a true joy to talk to. I walked out of there with goosebumps from head to toe in 98° weather! Truly, a touching experience I will carry with me. I...
Read moreI absolutely loved my experience here at Heritage Farm today! I Highly recommend it to any one person or even up to whole groups can come experience what it has been like growing up and living since the 1800's. I got to go with my niece and her school today and we spent about 3 hours, which though we got to see plenty, we didn't get to see and experience it all. What we did see and get to learn and participate in, was so uplifting, reminiscing, and down right magical that they have been able to preserve time how they have. I will be going back with my son, who is 10 and my fiance. I also heard that they decorate for Christmas and have a wonderful display for all to see. Easy to find and not to far out of the town of Huntington for it to take you as far back in time as it does. Highly recommended!! Thank you Heritage Farm Staff, for your welcoming, informing, and all around wonderful service & experience you gave us all from Barboursville Elementary School's, Kindergarten classes and their...
Read moreMy husband and I went for the ziplining, which it was raining that day but let me tell you it didn't matter at all. Walking in this place takes you back in time, it's such a beautiful place filled with warm friendly people. The adventure activities are amazing! The staff was awesome, they made us feel safe and sound. The rain slacked off for our zip across the hollow and this being a first for us both we both enjoyed this experience more then I can explain. The director of adventure operations provided us with a what I would call VIP experience and showed us around. He is such a good dude, they all were. It was money well spent, and I would recommend a visit. They have a mountain bike trail, atv trails, ziplining, rock climbing, a raised course as well as one for children. Afterwards we walked through the exhibits and got to see glass blowing and iron workers. Again this place truly takes you back in time. I can't say enough about how much we loved...
