Read moreI will start out by saying that Green Mountain is a very beautiful park and is even more beautiful still when you are planning a wedding there, which my sister recently did. They provided tables and just about everything we needed for a wonderful wedding. HOWEVER, I will say if you are thinking about using Green Mountain as your wedding venue....GET IT IN WRITING HOW LONG YOU ARE ALLOWED TO STAY THERE. My sister was previously informed that we could stay until 7:30pm, seeing as we were a private party. We were indeed allowed to stay that long for the rehearsal the night before but on the day of the wedding, at 6:15pm when my sister was about to do her father daughter dance, we had a very unpleasant discussion with the manager of the place who, very rudely mind you, informed us that we needed to be out of there RIGHT THEN. I am saying "discussion" but really he very rudely yelled at my sister, THE BRIDE, on her wedding day. That is unacceptable. Needless to say, we had to rush the cake cutting, the couple's exit and then pack everything up in a hurry. I have never seen anyone treat a bride that way who has paid to be there. So bottom line, the place is beautiful and a nice location for a wedding, but beware of those who run the place and get proof of the agreement of how long...
Read moreThis is a great place for a little hike around the lake, and has tables and a pavilion perfect for homeschoolers enjoying a day outdoors, though I am mostly posting this review to acknowledge and thank the men who work and maintain this trail. Each time we come they are so welcoming and friendly, especially to the kids. I’ve attached a photo of them showing our group a fern that is on the property, they brought it down and let the kids investigate it while they told it’s history and how they care for it. They answered the kids questions so genuinely, and really just took the time to talk with them, which was a highlight for everyone that day! Not only this, but on a separate occasion with a different group these men were so kind and helpful when a friend lost her phone out on the trail, even going to look for it themselves and celebrating with us when we let them know we found it. These may seem like small things, but they make a memorable impact, and I didn’t want them to go unnoticed. Thank you for your kindness and all you do to help this be a safe and enjoyable place to enjoy...
