I absolutely love this place!! I love anything to do with the outdoors and this trail is one of my favorites to walk. The last time I was there I got a little lost walking the trails and was exhausted by the time I finally got out of the forested area and to where the roads are. What was supposed to be a 2-3 hour trek through the forest with my dog turned into 6 hours. (I get lost very easily. It's a talent. Don't judge me. LOL!) The people that work there (I am unsure if they are Park Rangers or police or what but they were wearing that type of uniform) were very professional, very friendly, and very sympathetic towards me and my dog. They offered me a bottle of water and even gave my dog some water. One of the officers (Rangers?) even gave me and my dog a ride in the back of his...

This side of the State Park is scenic!

Walking along these trials gives me a lot of opportunities to see different species of ducks like wood ducks and blue-winged teal ducks.

Great blue heron, great white egret, and snowy white egret are commonly seen along the side of Lake Raven fishing, while the red eard slider turtles are basking under the sun while lining up the broken branches.

Beautiful wild flowers and sprouting mushrooms are common to see most especially during springtime.

Alligators do exist here, so I always observe my Alligator etiquette whenever I see one.

One thing for sure is that coming into these trials is always beautiful. No matter how many times I have been here, my everyday experience is always unique and full of surprises from mother...

Fair priced at $7.00 per person, trails as small as 1 mile and as large as 6 miles. Restrooms available prior to trails. Very friendly staff, enough parking to accommodate if it is busy. The cherry on top are the gorgeous trails, views of the water, enough foliage coverage to block out heat, a small detail but a meaningful one is that the wildlife in the area is always roaming near you, that tell me the staff as well as the consumers do not harass them but at the same time don't warrant their attention.

Wonderful and beautiful, will definitely come back and highly recommend to all looking for great way to...

Quiet and no bikes allowed. Nice scenic views of the lake with rest benches and plenty of shade trees. Well maintained. Boardwalk bridges for the low laying areas. A small part of it was closed when we walked it.
