This is a super fun hike. The first half is easy and very well marked. You should not part way down the first leg you’ll come to a “T” where you have to go right or left. And at this point the light blue trail markers become dark blue trail markers. Go LEFT at the T. The second half is much more moderate and a bit of a scramble at points. Especially in wet conditions, I’m not so sure how kid friendly the second half is. There are some cool abandoned hunting shacks at about the halfway point to explore and two smaller waterfalls just below them on the trail. Beautiful waterfall is the reward at the end. You can see a video from the hike at...

We were there the morning after a fairly heavy rain and the falls were interesting but not impressive. Rock grottos were more impressive. The trail is very well marked. Either light blue diamonds turn dark blue in difficult part or it was my lack of oxygen! There are no creek crossings. The 3.5 mile dirt road from HWY 21 is mostly well-maintained. My Accord did OK limited to 15 mph. Football field size gravel covered parking area. No rest facilities. Took this 73 year-old 90 minutes round trip on the trail, but I was highly motivated as a combat Vet on...
Read moreThe road to the trailhead is rough but passable by any vehicle. The part of the trail with light blue blazes is fairly easy. The dark blue blazes then lead to the bottom of Sweden Creek Falls. This part is steep, wet, and rocky. At the point where the dark blue blazes start, there is a waterfall to the right that's very nice. But continuing on to Sweden Creek Falls is well worth the effort. An 80' fall with a nice pool at the base. When we visited, it had been a rainy week, so the Falls were really flowing. Awesome! We visited on a Friday and had the place to ourselves....
