I have been to this trail in late winter, spring and now summer. In February of last year there were about 10 Eagles flying around. Some were #baldeagles and the others looked like juvenile bald eagles or brown eagles. Not very many other birds (too early in migration) and right down the road from Eagle Point, Sheldon Marsh, Old Woman Creek, Osborn Metropark and Wyandot Metropark, which most are on the birding trail. I went again a week ago. Not much shade from the sun and heat. There is a prairie (perimeter)path and a straight down and back path. I would go early in morning in the heat of summer. Read moreBig tall grass field surrounded by marsh land. Small gravel parking area and a few cut paths along the edge of the marsh. Great place for waterfowl, lily pads, and snakes. Oh, and ticks and other such bugs. Nice place to get back to nature and maybe take some nature back with you .
