DNC is one of my favorites places to be. It's usually not packed but there are times during the summer where weddings take place and the parking lot will be full. You can fish there. There are benches to sit and watch the pond. I like taking my dogs to walk there through the trails. There are little markers to help you not get lost if you are worried about that. It's very peaceful. And pretty decently sized. There is a visitor center in doors. But I have never been in there. The bathrooms are in there. This is a HUGE place to take pictures for all kinds of events so just be aware of that during the end of the school year, senior pictures. I come here on my lunch breaks and read too.

A little treasure in Hutchinson! My kids and i traveled to Hutch for Cosmosphere (totally recommend) next day wanted to enjoy the beautiful weather. Dillon Center has small indoor interactive educational area and then outdoors they have so many activities- play area for kids, pond for fishing, and nature trails. All free. One of my kids’ favorite places we stopped at.

There’s never been a time when I went to the nature center and did not absolutely love it. What a relaxing and beautiful place to spend time alone or with family. It is amazing to be blessed with the healing that nature offers. From kids summer camp to garden club or walking my dogs I will say; this is quite possibly my favorite place to visit in Hutchinson.

I took an arts and crafts class here and it was great. But what I really enjoyed was bringing my grandson back Weeks Later to check out the pond in the play area for the children. This place is wonderful outdoor entertainment for children who have a difficult time paying attention to certain things. The outdoors the birds the water is so much better for children than video games and televisions and electronics at least it seems to be for some of us. Lovely place we really enjoyed the chimes in the play area and seeing the snails and leeches and Minnows and tadpoles and frogs and fish and...

As someone from the disabled community, ESA and service dogs are not the same and the employees are just following the ADA regulations. ESA are not allowed in the building. There is such a thing as a psychiatric service dog and maybe that is where another reviewer got confused, but if you google service dog vs ESA you will see they are different. That being said, if a dog comes into the building with a service dog vest, the staff will mind their own business and they are very polite. They are amazing when it comes to making people with disabilities...
