We stayed at the larger (grey) tiny house with our 2 teen girls during Easter weekend; we all loved it and had a great time! We had some indoor activities planned like making flower arrangements, do some drawing& painting, some baking, cooking and card games. But in between activities, weād go outside do snuggle with doggies Lemon& Mango and of course the pigs! They all roam around (even some sheep with their offspring), which made it all very fun!
All 4 of us slept very well on the beds, they were very comfy! My youngest asked me what brand&kind the mattress was as she claimed to not have slept so good ever in any bed than at the farmhouse. It was nice and quiet, even though there were so many animals around us!
The shower works great too which I loved myself.
Next time I think weāll try the other house and see what that feels like; weāre definitely coming back! Iāve been telling our local friends about our positive experience and to go as well!
Canāt beat a local gem, only 12 min away! š Thank you for taking good care of us...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy two granddaughters and I had the best time at the KuneKune Pig Farm in Hutto, TX! The farm is a small family owned business with a few cows, sheep, ducks and many pigs. Our guide Jayden was super friendly and obviously passionate about the animals, the farm and her job. She shared interesting information about the animals and particularly the pigs. We fed the cows and pigs. And got to pet and give belly rubs to several of the pigs. The pigs were very gentle and enjoyed the company of people. The facility was clean and easy to walk to the pens. The owner has put a lot of effort into turning the farm into a place where the animals can be enjoyed by staying at the onsite tiny homes or soon to be larger house. What a great experience to stay on a small working farm. If you have kids that want a close up experience with farm animals and particularly pigs then this is a perfect place to visit. It really is a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy experience at Best Place Farms differs greatly from the other reviews I read. We did a 2 night farm stay, and was under the impression that there would be a warm and friendly staff, with plently of oppotunities to interact with people and animals alike. That was not the case at all. With the exception of a brief interaction with the owner's son, it was a total ghost town. All communication was via text or email. I was advised we couldnt feed the animals. Most of the animals were MIA. 2 of the dogs were friendly, 2 were aloof, and one growled and charged us, unprovoked. I requested a tour, due to the lack of humans, but that never happened. I had doubts that the owner was even on site. I give it 2 stars because the tiny home was pristine, comfortable and unique. Otherwise it would be 1 star. The pool was beautiful and the pool contractor was the highlight...
