We went to Bat watch last Sunday night at 9 pm! Learn more about bats in two hrs. than I did in my entire lifetime. It was a Forest Preserves event that was put on by program coordinator Sophia Vega and her assistant CEP aid Claudia Gunter! Ms. Vega gave us a complete history of the bats that live in Eggers Grove and the Chicago area! We were able to identify about 6 species of bats with electronic technology devices Ms Vega brought with her to pick up the sonar sounds they make to communicate! Read moreIt's a trail park, which connects to wolf lake, so there is always some form of wild life present, like deer. It's a good place for biking or running. The tables and buildings were closed off, and there isn't a playground, but a fair amount of just flat land for you to use for other activities.
