Yes they might be remodeling but the mess from the construction didn't bother us all the exhibits are at the back of the museum and the construction is at the front. If I'd been driving figuring out were we could park and were to go in was would of been a little hard. But luckily the person doing the driving had been there before while construction was going on so he knew where we had to go. We weren't greeted as soon as we walked thru the door but the worker who was working was in a different room and as soon as she seen us which was as soon as we walked thru the door she got up from where she was sitting came into the room you come into from the outside and greeted us, asked where we were from, if we'd ever been there before, and told us what we needed to know about the museum while it's under construction. Finally, the gift shop is nice! We bought a few things and one of the items we bought was the large sage. Let me tell you, that sage BURNS and stays burning! Whoever made it...
Read moreOne of the most rewarding hours of my life. I learned so much in one hour during a private tour with The Quintus H. Herron Director Henry Moy. His detail, passion, energy and depth of historical facts for the different collections was at times jaw dropping. I look forward to another visit, so that I can pickup where we left off. The other staff members at the front desk were very kind and helpful on the phone and when I finally arrived. If you are interested in taking a step back in time, long before the smartphone, MP3s and wifi, look no further for an experience you are sure cherish. Thank you Henry!
HIGHLY RECOMMEND #MuseumOfTheRedRiver...
