My husband and I did the all-day adventure, Level 4 first, and then level 5. This was my very first time to white water raft, and I was terrified. But, Mason, our guide, directed us when to use our paddle so professionally that after 5 minutes, I completely forgot my fears and had an amazing FUN time. No one fell out of the raft, and our groups worked so well together as a team, using our core to fully pull with the paddle on each given command. After the level 4 trip, Mason prepared a healthy, delicious lunch for us, and we had enough time to eat, dry out our wet clothes, and wander and explore a bit. Eat light if taking level 5, which was my very favorite trip!! Wetsuits, rain jackets, rental booties ( I recommend renting the booties), helmets, and life vests were provided as part of the cost. Photos are taken throughout the trip and are FREE!! Wear sunscreen and a baseball cap under helmet if you tend to burn easily. The water is cold, so you will appreciate the provided gear. Avoid wearing cotton clothes underneath. The wetsuits are tight fit, so either a swimsuit or, better yet, a cami and fast dry underwear is best, which is what I did. For men, fast dry swim trunks or boxers and rash guard shirt if you tend to get cold easily. There are changing rooms for privacy. Wear a strap with your sunglasses to prevent losing them. Bring a towel and change of clothes. They do sell clothes/items in the gift shop if you want to take back a souvenir shirt or forget something. I'm pretty sure we'll be doing this adventure again in the future! It was fantastic FUN!!! We booked ahead, but walk-ins are welcome. Oh, and if WE can do this adventure, YOU can too!! Book the trip!

OKAY OKAY listen up! My biggest fear ever in life is actually this(rafting).😂 Due to the fact that I don’t want to fall in quick moving waters especially with giant rocks in there. My partner was beyond ecstatic to do this and really encouraged me to do it. Another CONCERN was “how is my big ol body going into fit on the boat??”😂 if I fall, no one can save me!! When I arrived to the place, all the guides were BEYOND kind and inclusive. I did not feel like a sore thumb. All my fears of rafting went away when our guide, Hayden, informed everyone on what to do, when to move, and how to react when an emergency happens. When we began rafting, it was honestly enjoyable, Hayden eased our nerves. Until it was time for some serious rocks. 😅 I panicked, and flew off the boat. But wait! The best part comes, I thought I was going to die(literally) when the first rock him my head (helmet on) and I couldn’t see the boat. And then Hayden shouted clear and short instructions at the top of his lungs. And out of no where, he carried me up and onto the boat! I literally thought “No one can lift me, this is over”.😅 but nope, he did! After that, rafting was a breeze. He made sure to keep the group calm and at peace. I honestly can’t thank this company ENOUGH for making such a deadly fear into a funny story to always tell. I highly recommend this company FOR SURE. Don’t choose another, this one is worth your time and money. HANDS DOWN. Level did: intermediate Would I do this again?: yes, but only with this company. I promise you.

Inexperienced "Guide" I had the chance to tackle the intermediate course with a group of my closest friends. For the most part, we were having fun. The water was clear, the rock formations straddled along opposite sides were beautiful, and the mountain air felt crisp. There came a point, however, in the middle of the rafting trip, when the current caused our raft to rotate backwards. A sudden jolt of pain ran through my body, causing my left arm to limp and two fingers to go numb. I was unable to row. After a few moments, I realized what happened. As our raft turned, we had run into a rock formation. This formation hit the upper half of my right shoulder as well as my upper left arm. I wasn't able to see this formation because the raft was moving backwards. Thankfully, I regained movement after a couple minutes. Unfortunately, I had entrusted the "guide" to do his job and warn me about the incoming formation. I vocalized my dismay at the "guide's" ineptitude and failure to warn a newcomer about an incoming rock that could have possibly led to permanent damage. I will not name a name, in fear of jeopardizing the "guide's" seemingly dire financial situation. Moving forward, I will not return, unless given a guarantee that the guide has at least extensive experience and a bare-minimum degree of awareness. It is for this very reason that I strongly beseech newcomers to request experienced guides. Other than a few other close encounters with sharp rocks, the trip was relatively fun.

I recently had the pleasure of embarking on a thrilling white-water rafting adventure with Clear Creek Rafting Company, and the experience was made even more extraordinary thanks to our amazing host, Haley. From start to finish, Haley's enthusiasm, expertise, and genuine passion for both the sport and the environment shone through, making our trip an unforgettable one.

Right from the moment we arrived, Haley greeted us with a warm smile and a contagious excitement that instantly set the tone for the day. Her knowledge of the river and the surrounding area was impressive, as she effortlessly shared interesting facts about the ecosystem, the history of the region, and the safety measures in place. It was evident that she took her role seriously and was committed to ensuring our safety and enjoyment.

Haley's communication skills were exceptional. She explained the rafting techniques clearly, making even the beginners among us feel comfortable and ready to take on the rapids. Throughout the journey, she provided clear instructions and guidance, which played a crucial role in keeping our group coordinated and our spirits high.

What truly set Haley apart was her ability to create an atmosphere of camaraderie and fun. Her upbeat personality, combined with her knack for storytelling, kept us engaged and laughing during quieter moments on the river. She effortlessly built a rapport with each member of the group, making everyone feel valued and included.

Beyond her rafting expertise, Haley's commitment to environmental stewardship was admirable. She not only educated us about the importance of preserving the river and its surroundings but also led by example, ensuring that our group left no trace behind.

As the day came to an end, it was clear that Haley's dedication had turned our rafting trip into a truly exceptional experience. Her professionalism, knowledge, and ability to foster a sense of adventure and community made this outing stand out among my outdoor adventures.

If you're considering a white-water rafting adventure with Clear Creek Rafting Company, I wholeheartedly recommend requesting Haley as your host. Her enthusiasm, expertise, and warm personality will undoubtedly enhance your experience and create memories that will last a lifetime. Thank you, Haley, for an outstanding day...

My first white water rafting experience was with Clear Creek 6 years ago in Idaho Springs and was excellent. Because we loved them, we booked a 6 person raft in Royal Gorge with them and that went pretty well as well (although our guide was rude to one of our group the entire time constantly talking down to her for not rowing hard enough (note: shes 115 lbs soaking wet)). But overall an great experience! Myself and my fiance booked a raft again for yesterday with 4 other friends (three of which have never been rafting before). It was only after we were fully dressed in our wet-suits and about to be assigned our guides, the lead guide Eric(k?) informed us we would be separated by saying "someone told you there wont be 6 to a boat right?" to which we responded "no". And then he said "yeah well the waters low and 6 is too many, that's how math works!" and then began the safety briefing. They then picked our three friends who had never rafted before and isolated them, and then assigned the 3 of us who had been rafting before to another raft. If that wasn't enough, our friends who had never rafted before had a terrible guide who berated them every time they got stuck, and at one point GOT OUT OF THE RAFT AND PEED IN THE WATER NEXT TO THEM.

Clear Creek rafting is overall a good company, and an excellent rafting experience. My assumption is that if you choose them you will have a good time, and they love promoting their free photos. However, I've had two 5-star experiences and one 1-star experience, so when they ruin your day, they do it with gusto. I give them 2 stars, one for each great rafting excursion I've had with them, and dock them 3 stars for the 3 friends they removed from my group.

Key points: Each member of my group paid $105 to raft together in a group of 6 (why we chose 6 people for the trip), and were told only 3 minutes before embarking that we would be separated. Guides may get out and pee in the creek on your first rafting experience. Our friends raft had a mother and 15 yr old son as well who were on their...

Bucket list accomplished today, thanks to the amazing crew at Clear Creek Rafting Company. Their website makes registration and waivers simple before the day you go - and it's easy to find with ample parking. Rusty was our Trip Leader today - took us through the safety talk and kept people at ease in the bus to the put in and from the takeout. Jake was our driver - and was happy to honk the air horn every time the passengers cheered.

This is the only rafting company in the area that provides free photos - as well as wetsuits, jackets, PFDs, and helmets. All crew members were super friendly and helpful, checking to be sure that PFDs and helmets fit properly. The highlight of the trip was Molly, our amazing guide. From the time she introduced herself to the folks on our particular boat, she put us all at ease, including a non-swimmer and two tween boys. She has been on rivers since she was a toddler and can read the river like the pro that she is. She engaged all of us by calling out paddling instructions, and as a result, all of us stayed in the boat and enjoyed the trip through rapids and beautiful, scenic stretches of the river. She told stories about the history of the names of the rapids, cautioned us when we were approaching a challenging stretch of river and told us how we were going to navigate it - and with her confident guidance - we celebrated our team accomplishments!

The Clear Creek Rafting Company has been operating for 30+ years, has consistently exceptional reviews, and hires/trains extraordinary guides. They have great experience that shows in their balance of safety, excitement, and value that many rafters (experienced as well as novice) appreciate. Thanks so much, Molly - and Clear Creek...
