It's you're looking for a short hike in Coeur d'Alene this is an easy one. I followed the recommended path and I may have missed something. We walked to the top of the point on a paved path. There are places you can get to the water along the way but it's a little steep. When you get to the very top where the park area is, it would be difficult to get to the water if you're not careful. It's VERY steep at that point. People were describing a beach area but I couldn't figure out how to get my family there safely. Along the path is a statue of a photographer and picnic benches on the hillside. We thought about coming back to fish there but never made it back. The view is really pretty here, but then the lake is...

In our quest to visit all 50 states, we found ourselves in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, for a few hours before flying home from Spokane. We look for main tourist things and unique, "only in your state" things. We began our visit to Idaho in a wonderful Café and asked about some things to do in the area. We were planning to check out the more touristy Tubbs Hill area, which we did, but she also told us about Higgins Point. This park was excellent. We enjoyed walking the quiet path around the lake ending at Higgins Point. The views were beautiful. The signage was helpful. We loved this quiet "only in your state" spot. It was a highlight of our 3-state...

Absolutely beautiful place.. We had our wedding there. The only problem with that is it's not worth the money they want for it and reserving it is a joke. Locals were very rude and kept interrupting our event. We had hikers and bikers walking and riding thru everything. There was 3 signs up to let everyone know it was reserved and the local said they didn't care and to shut up. Worst experience ever. Don't bother reservations just go up there and get there first. It's no different either way. Absolutely ridiculous and ashamed to tell people I live in this town after the way they...

CDA is absolutely one of the most beautiful spots in the country, and not many people outside the PNW are aware. Hiked this around 8 am on a beautiful August morning, so relaxing and beautiful minus the traffic noise from 90 if you pay attention to it. A nice little workout to get the blood flowing, particularly coming back up from the point. Great stop if you’re in the area.

The end (or beginning of the Centennial Trail in Coeur d'Alene. Nice views. Bathrooms and drinking fountain. Some covered picnic benches. A few view points with benches. Trails leading toward the water. It is paved the entire way up, but vehicle access. Park at Coeur d'Alene Parkway State Park to access the trail.
