We were really excited about this spot but didn’t look at reviews before booking. Stayed two nights in August, and the bugs were insane!! Little gnats, flying things that looked like pale mosquitos just everywhere. We had a nice water/electric RV site with a partial view. The lake was beautiful, perfect for kayaking. The weird part was all the tumbleweeds that ended up in the water, they just floated around all odd looking. The trails were really nice and there was lots of beautiful older trees and green grass. Saw a small herd of deer running off, was really cool. Dog friendly.

This is a great place. The lake is beautiful. The park is large and nicely maintained. There are paved paths, disc Frisbee course, Historical info boards, boat launch. The campground is nice includes free showers (however the pressure is very weak).

Nice roaming. Some wildlife present: I got close to a deer. Beautiful views of the lake and surrounding mountains and scenery. Very relaxing and peaceful

This lake and the Minidoka Dam project was needed to store water. It supply's irrigation water to thousands of farmers and ranchers in the surrounding areas. Plus it also generates power to supply electricity to the town's and homes in and around the area. There is fishing year around even though it set on a National Wildlife refuge. It has several other qualities that have been add over the years. It's listed as a State Park and Recreation area. There are camp grounds for overnight camping. BBQ and picnic area's for family outings. Disk golf, boating, water skiing. One can enjoy lots of different types of Wildlife. From bird watching to watching antelope ,deer ,elk all of them inside the reserve. To truly enjoy all the qualities one must visit...

No one caught any fish, heard by other people camping that they haven't stocked fish in over 2 years. Water in showers were cold. Water pressure wasn't very strong, no camp host to talk to about the problems. Only reason I gave it a 2 star is for the scenery...
