What a fun weekend at a very customer and family focused gem of a mountain. I wish I would have gotten the name of the gal who helped me with our tickets as she was exceptional from the very first interaction. When I arrived at the ticket counter there were two or three guests in front of me and it went very quick. She helped get everyone set up from toddlers (who ski free and that was an added bonus) to adults, 5th and 6th grade ski passport holders, and an Indy Pass. It was a lot and she made it easy and was enjoyable to be around throughout the process. I hate to think that when I come back next year the prices may go up because it was a quality resort at below market price in my opinion. Book online to save!
The ski instructors were plentiful during our visit and were happy to help others with a smile and a quick tip or two. The loft operators are also great at keeping things moving and the lift lines were maybe a two minute wait at their busiest times.
Once up the mountain we found lots of trails and quickly found some favorites the kids wanted to do on repeat. We didn't get to try all of them but I'd guess all of them were as fun and had the same great quality of snow we enjoyed. There were a few icy spots in early March but it wasn't bad and could still be skied on without a problem.
The only downside is I had a small rental car and would have felt safer in a 4x4 as the road up had a few icy spots and the parking lot was a little slick in the morning. We didn't have any problems but I did see a few trucks and cars sliding in the parking lot as they tried to go up towards the base operations.
It's beautiful, it's affordable, it's fun, and the people are great. How can you beat a weekend...
Read moreI’ve skied here around 20 years. Held a season pass for many years. Hadn’t gone in a few years, now I’m taking my kids. The new pre-pay RFID card system is great for lift tickets once you get your card the first time. The mountain always has good snow. Used to have lots of great food in the lodge. Now for the negatives.
Food in the lodge is way less variety than what it used to be and there is no breakfast, but the food is really good.
Trying to get rentals, or food is a huge hassle on busy days. They have got to improve the lodge. It’s the same lodge and rental shop as when I started coming here. On a Friday school day, not even a weekend, by 8:40 there was 50 people in line for rentals, luckily we were towards the front but still took almost half an hour to get the kids rentals. The line for food is the exact same on busy days. Wraps completely around the lodge all day long. The population around here has increased dramatically they, have got to do something about the lines. Will get equipment for the kids and season passes next year because it’s a pain waiting in the morning to get the kids going. The guys setting up boards were great, but there was nobody in the boot shop at times. Need to get the shop open a...
Read moreI've been coming to pomerelle for well over a decade now and like any business it's had its up and down but as of lately I feel like it has made a lot of improvement the staff was always super friendly and helpful, this season. I've been getting lessons for my daughter every time we come here and she's only had one negative experience this season. All of the other ski patrols have been wonderful to her. Hoping for more snow next season. 😌😌 And thanks again to all the wonderful staff and all that they do.
(Just wanted to add an informational section for people looking to visit, please visit their website and read all their ticket information all the details and the card that you will need will save you so much time, if you order your tickets ahead of time online they are cheaper and you get to skip the ticket line, they do serve alcohol here but it's not a bar type it's all beer, food prices are pretty average, not overly expensive, honestly ticket prices aren't outrageous either in comparison to other resorts close by and please do not allow your children to ride the mountain alone, there unfortunately just too many people in the world who don't care and pomerelle can only...
