The Register Rock is being taken very good care of. The small campground surrounding it is definitely the best choice for camping spaces, that I see, if you plan on staying for the day(s). There's trees at this spot. I should like to see in the future, hopefully, for having quite a lot more signage and display, going on, showing more facts about this area and the people's daily lives. Read moreA nice little park for a picnic. The rock itself is a bit small and under a pavilion. If you're an Oregon Trail tourist who's seen Register Cliff and Independence Rock, you don't need to stop here.

Read moreSo cool! There's no camping here, it's really just a picnic spot. (With 4 bathroom buildings though!) Don't leave your kids unguarded since there's no fence by the river. The monuments are cool. There's a cute drawing by a little pioneer boy from the 1800s or something. A fun place to stretch our legs.
$7 is pretty steep for a picnic, but I would have paid it if there was a way. Maybe something's broken or missing? When is Idaho going to add a QR code payment option?
