Let’s start with the title- BEAR World: I believe most if not all come here to SEE BEARS!! The most beautiful animal on our planet, that only get to experience these beautiful creatures up close at a place like this or a zoo. So, you would think as a worker at this place, that you’d have some brains , empathy, understanding, caring, compassion for the people who come here, that they would be excited to see a bear ! First let me say, I was the ONLY car driving through this 3 minute road to see a Bison and several bears. When it came to the first part, you can only get in with a ticket, so driving the first 1 minute ride was asked by the girl who opens the gate to see my ticket, then she kept it and lectured me about not stopping, only driving 3-5 mph and windows rolled up, and not talking to the animals. Well from my perspective I agreed to drive through with the disclaimer your not responsible for my car if an animal jumps on it and breaks anything and if I get hurt, so with that being understood, I drove along hoping to see a bear, have the bear jump on my car! Haha. Anyway, I drive past the one bison and then there’s the truck that has 2 workers in it from the bear world, I guess making sure I don’t stop and drive 3-5 mph, but, hey they have a job to do I guess. Maybe they should keep their windows up and not be stopped! So there’s a huge bear laying on this small road/ trail and I slowed down to probably 1 mph to get a picture and then there’s the truck, windows rolled down yelling to keep moving! So I keep moving and there’s another bear walking across the road and he stops so I stop and wait to I can around but in the meantime I’m enjoying this gorgeous view of this beautiful creature in my view to enjoy but nope, truck people are right up my car butt telling me to go! This was literally the worst zoo drive through experience I have EVER been through or to!!! These workers get to see these animals everyday and perhaps don’t even love or enjoy these animals but some of us have saved years to travel and go see bears up close!! Then I was at gate to leave and I asked if I can go through it again since it was literally 3 minutes long if that, and he said yes just show your ticket but I said that worker at gate took it, then he said oh sorry I guess you can’t!!! Then I go into the place to do a bear feeding and again these workers think they own these bears! One girl was wonderful but the other 2 plus the one taking the pictures are nasty and the one taking pictures didn’t even seem to like being there!! I’d literally give my right arm or get deeply scratched by the bears claws and find enjoyment!! I was told I couldn’t keep my phone out because they may scare the bears!! WHAT?? What a joke! It’s daytime and I’m on other side of fencing!! I will never go back and I will leave negative reviews as well as my story on every tourist site, hotel and attraction...
Read moreYellowstone Bear World offers a unique and engaging opportunity to get up close and personal with some of North America's most iconic wildlife. Our recent visit left me thoroughly impressed and with a newfound appreciation for the bears and other animals that call this place home.
The main draw, of course, is the drive-through bear enclosure. Before you even reach the bears, you have the opportunity to see elk and buffalo up close, the rare white elk were stunning, it was such a privilege to get to see them. From the comfort and safety of your own vehicle, you can observe both black and grizzly bears in naturalistic settings.
It's truly a different experience than spotting a bear from a distance in a national park, you're practically eye-level with these magnificent creatures as they roam, play, and forage. We saw baby bears wrestling, napping under trees, one even looked like he was meditating! The staff clearly prioritize the animals' well-being, and the enclosures seem spacious and well-maintained.
Beyond the bears, Yellowstone Bear World offers a surprisingly diverse array of other animal exhibits. We enjoyed the wildlife museum, which provides interesting facts and displays about the local fauna, and the petting zoo was a huge hit, especially with younger visitors (and some not-so-young ones!). Seeing elk, deer, and other critters up close added another layer to the experience. Their new section of the park focused on Dinosaurs was epic! Jurassic Creek was such a cool experience, the life-like (and life-sized) dinosaurs were animatronic, when we saw them moving it was such an awesome experience! Once the rest of that section of the park is complete, I'm sure it'll blow people away even more!
There's also a gift shop with a good selection of souvenirs to commemorate your trip. It's an excellent family-friendly attraction that offers both entertainment and education. If you're in the area and looking for a memorable wildlife encounter, Yellowstone Bear World is definitely worth the stop!
The only thing I would say is the food/drink they offer is far too overpriced, and in the petting-zoo area they need an adult staff member to keep an eye on unruly guests visiting the park, I think some of the teenage employees are too intimidated to go up to guests and tell them to be careful and gentle with the...
Read moreThis was a wonderful experience for kids of all ages. We prepaid online for a carload of up to seven people, $125.00. The cost includes driving through the animal habitat, the petting zoo, and rides. Feeding the cubs and a guided tour through the animals are additional charges. We paid an additional $75/person to feed the cubs which the kiddos loved beyond words. I highly recommend prepaying online as the slots fill fast. Feedings happen three times a day - 9am, 11am, and 5pm. Arrive about a half hour before to check in and then 10 minutes before for photos and rules. The petting zoo was very fun. There are deer, fawns, pigs, goats, and roosters, The goats are smart. Be weary, one particular knows how to turn the feed machine and open the door to hijack the food as you put in a quarter. It was both amazing and crazy to see. You can feed the butterflies for .50¢/Q-tip or $1.00/three Q-tips. The kiddos loved it. The rides are small but great fun for the kiddos. There are restrooms and limited food options which are rather costly. The gift shop is awesome and the prices aren't too high for most things. I was surprised that some items were lower than I expected and other items were much higher than I expected. Over all there is a wonderful variety of items at reasonable prices. The last thing I'll mention... Don't leave the park if you would like to drive through the animal habitat more than once. I didn't pay attention to this and left the park to get something to eat. Upon return, it was explained you can drive through the park as many times as you wish with your purchase; however, you must stay at the park. I almost had to pay for another car load at full price if it weren't for the mercy of a kind hearted supervisor. I had to split the cub feedings, half the kiddos feed at 11am and the other half at 5pm. Waiting at the park the entire time would have been rough. Overall, you can see everything within an 1 1/2. Add cub feeding, 2 hours. All the staff were friendly and the experience was wonderful from entering the park, feeding the cubs, the rides, and gift shop. We highly recommend a visit to...
