Grant forest preserve consists of mostly a circular 2 mile trail around a wetland. Trail seems to be a well maintained blend of dirt, sand, and small stones. Easy for walking and jogging. There are branching paths that take you near neighborhoods and through the woods. 3 parking lots, a bridge, picnic areas, 4 bathrooms between 2 locations. There is the occasional animal sighting like birds, frogs, and a small coyote if you're lucky. Lots of people bring dogs and or strollers to walk around the trail. There is an underpass so you go from one trail to another without crossing the road. The trails are finely crushed gravel so it can be messy after a heavy rain.
