I’ve hiked the Lake Mingo Trail a few times now and I’ve enjoyed it every time. It is pretty long (7 miles) and a bit challenging at times. There can be a lot of really muddy/wet spots. The last mile or so of the trail is pretty weird as it circled back to the start but still one of my favorite hikes in central IL. There isn’t really anything else of interest in the park.

An open-air museum is very cool if you want to experience the real America! I felt like I traveled to the past! Thanks to the ladies who run the historical buildings I’ve learned a lot about the life people had in the past.

It was a beautiful well signed place. It was easy to tell where we were going! It has picnic spots, and an old historic town, and an herb garden. One could spend all day here!

I've always loved this park. It's nice and peaceful and you get to see all the sights and sounds of nature. Love seeing all of the wildlife that you normally don't see everyday. We were out there today for the Education Personnel Federal credit Union picnic. It was a nice token of appreciation for all of the members and staff. Just wish that the weather would...

This is a great park to visit. They have stores from back in the day, a church, a school, a train station and a old house. You can only tour these places by looking through the windows. It one of the coolest places I've visited in a long time. I would highly recommended this park to others. Also, a great place to take special occasions...
