Stopped by today while bike riding along the I & M canal trail. The Kayak Rental is now available. Eight kayaks available in the locked racks. $15 for 1 hour or $25 for 2 hour rental. Can't wait to try it out! No need to haul your own but an access ♿ launch area if you do have your own or renting. Beautiful setting! Bring your hand sanitizer for the restroom. 09/13/24 - Just a quick follow up. We've now used the rental kayaks twice with the $99 year membership through Rent.fun. Well worth getting the membership! Check it out for yourself! Beautiful setting and you don't have to have a kayak if your own. If you have your own PFD, you may want to bring it with you. The rental PFD is okay, but I...

Wonderful local place for walking, boating, and fishing. The main paved path is under 1 mile around. I've biked it as part of my ride to the I &M canal. The area has been upgraded with expanded parking and a new canoe ramp. I've taken my kayaks there and enjoy going around the lake. I don't fish, so I can not comment on that. However, seeing all the people fishing, I assume it is good. It's. A very beautiful place to walk. Also, after crossing the walking bridge, there is a walking trail unpaved that takes you back further in the wooded area around the lake. I've taken the path, but haven't visited all the back trail ways. Don't miss a fun time here. There is no separate play...

This is a spring fed quarry lake. They have worked to improve parking and accessibility and even put in a beautiful handicapped accessible canoe/kayaking loading ramp. The rest rooms are new and clean. There are very nice shelters and even an overlook deck which is also good for fishing from. The lake is divided by a narrow channel which passes under a pedestrian/bike path. The path circles the lake and is about .7 miles. Many people fish here and the water grass and depth ranges provide great opportunities to fish. The lake is small and the shores are mostly rocky but certainly a good for a two hour excursion on the kayaks with fairly easy in...

Well kept little preserve. The paved path around the lake is about .75 miles. I saw about 4 people fishing around the lake so I'm assuming that there is plenty to be caught. The water is very clean and the lake looks deep based on the steep drop off all around the edges. There was a gazebo with approximately 10 picnic tables under it with 2 BBQ grills ready to use. There was also a map of the lake party and the surrounding area. There is also a spot that was ideal for a kayak launch, but I did not see it designated as one. There were 2 people out on kayaks that day that both launched from that spot near the gazebo. The restroom was clean also.

Lakeside gazebo, bridges, walking paths, rest areas, and clean latrine facilities. An excellent location to take family for an evening, cycle a few laps, take the dog out, or even wet a line. Plenty of lake side fishing locations, and a roofless deck to cast off of. The kayak drop in is excellent and easy for paddlers of all skill levels. The area over all is clean, and well taken care of. A relatively quiet location for a relaxing evening, although warehouses, and the highway wall two sides. Still quite calm, and relaxed. Quicker waters moved by the breeze for paddlers and anglers. Still an excellent overall location. Parking is slightly limited.

Beautiful place! Not only is it easy to drive to, you can access it from the I&M Canal bike trail. This places has a bunch of walking paths that circle, It's got cool little bridges that go over the water in a couple places, it has a nice covered picnic area with grill. You can rent canoes here from an app, and they're pretty good - comes with an ore and life jackets. Definitely worth the visit. Although they JUST built this place, and there is already, garbage all over and in the water, and their bathroom is pretty bad.. This is a beautiful nice little spot, I just wished people wouldn't ruin it.
