Love Lake George. Fishing from the bank is usually pretty eventful, so for me it’s great for practicing with a bait caster. Facilities are nice. Picnic benches, docks, fire pits. Giant gazebo for when the weather turns. Shout out to the gentle who gave me tips on where to find the catfish out there. Ever seen Lake George from Google Earth? Had no idea this Lake was so massive! If you need a nice quiet place just outside of town, Lake George is your spot.

Nice little lake for easy kayaking. The rentals are inexpensive. The kayaks aren’t the in best shape and are a bit uncomfortable. The lake is big enough to spend a couple of hours paddling around at a slow pace. Usually come out once a year.
