The southeast portion abuts the Shawnee national forest. Go to the website and check the lake rules if you’re into watersports. For example, water skiing is only in the north west “wide” section. However, as we were visitors with kayaks, we found the lake pretty crowded with boats and obnoxious jet skiers who were not always conscientious of swimmers and other watercraft.
