In the spring/summer months, there's not a lot of obvious exploring to do. The plants and tall grass is grown thick and tall. I haven't explored during the winter/fall months, however. Regardless, it's a beautiful location with one dead-end road that serves as the main access.

So was thinking that they hike off to a hidden treasure, like the old abandoned Bridge over the Des Plains River leading to the I&M canal. Well the bridge is securly closed to foot traffic and no visually eye catching trails leading out onto the prairie and only one trail leading south with no apparent destination. One could almost believe they're in actual wilderness if it wasn't for the constant truck and car noise from the roads around the place, and what sounded like constant gunshots in the distance during my visit.
