Beautiful covered bridge just outside Chester, Illinois is well worth a pull off the road! There are very informative signs giving local historical references at the beginning of the bridge. The best views are the front and after going through you will get better view on the other side of the stream going under the bridge and some nice rock formations, worthy of some...

Just outside of Chester, Illinois, is an interesting bit of history. Growing up in Chester, I never gave the covered bridge a second look. Its true that you can walk by a jewel and never know it. Well, it apparently has fallen in, and no one has fixed it. We drove over 3 hours to come see some illinois history, and it looks like this.. if I was you, I'd try to fixed out if it's fixed before i made the trip

Well, it apparently has fallen in, and no one has fixed it. We drove over 3 hours to come see some illinois history, and it looks like this.. if I was you, I'd try to fixed out if it's fixed before i made the trip
