Rend Lake — Attraction in Illinois

Beautiful lake. We didn't fish but it would be the perfect spot. The facilities were clean. Great hot water for showers. Our site did have like 3 dead trees that need to be taken down. The circles down the lanes were dangerous for our big rig. We ended up tipping a little and needing to pull out boards to help keep us upright. It was quite scary. Site was super affordable and flat. Love this lake and the amenities. There is a lodge with a nice restaurant on the marina with a picturesque view and setting. Boat rentals and lots of room for fun water sports, great fishing year round. If are considering this place, stop thinking and DO IT... it is a place to visit, a must destination in my view.
