I’ve been coming here most of my life and ive always loved it! And I understand that its a smaller park so i never really saw any workers and its not maintained super well but i always liked going and walking around for the exercise and taking the short trail through the woods. Last time i was there however was pretty upsetting. I went with my boyfriend and we were walking on a path right next to the playground when we saw 3 baby rabbits, clearly abandoned by their mother, and one of them was hurt! We felt like we needed to notify the staff (so they could notify a wildlife rehabilitator, or move the rabbits, or whatever?) and we saw a couple workers at one of the buildings so we let them know about the rabbits and one said they would come over in a second to take a look and the other said “mother nature will take care of them.” So we waited by the rabbits for a good half hour?? And they never walked over even though we could see them and they could see us... luckily someone offered us a box to put them in and we know a wildlife rehabilitator who looked after the bunnies and fixed up the hurt one! I didn’t know until this happened but apparently this is a common issue with parks? It’s a damn park? Isn’t nature kinda part of the experience of going to a park? Even if you personally don’t care about wildlife, why wouldn’t you at least act like you do for the reputation of your park? Even if you dont feel like calling someone to rehabilitate the rabbits wouldn’t you at least want to move them away from where children run around and play? Anyways here’s some pictures of the bunnies being released a couple weeks later! Thanks for...

Play disc golf here all the time, usually 2x per week. The maintinence guy that rides around on the gator is enough of a tool to ruin a round. Cruised into the park at a wholesome 17mph, and he aggressively flew in front of the car (almost to threaten us) and scoulded us to slow down. To be clear, if you're doing 25mph into the park, it FEELS too fast. Maybe parks and rec should get this guy a radar gun so he can't make bogus claims on visitors. Then again, with the way he talks to guests they'd be better off just replacing him with someone who is respectful at their core. This group of golfers is done helping pick up trash. Give this guy something...
