Middleton-Mills Park — Attraction in Independence

This is an amazing park, it literally has just about everything you can think of from basketball corts, football and so soccer fields (which is usually for teams and games) a couple of lakes for fishing, a few picnic shelters which can be reserved but doesn't have to be their always open when my family goes, there are grills at each shelter some have more than one, the playground for children is nice and equipped with updated equipment, volleyball sand court or sand parks, there's multiple different trails to take walks, there's so much to do at this park that u can't name everything. I took my nephews here for their football games in early August. This place is lovely. There were a lot of people at the park, but it was hard to tell so because the park is so big. And nearly anything that you want to do, you can do there. Multiple baseball, soccer and football fields plus basketball courts and open fields. The roads would seem a bit like a maze if it weren't for the more-than-adequate signage. 10/10 will bring the kids back as often...

Not a bad little place to Fish. My first time fishing here. Took my 5yr old here. For his first time fishing ever. He never even asked to go to the playground and we were there 8hrs! Caught 3 cats and my daughters boyfriend caught a blue gill. Nothing really to write home about.
