I have lived in Louisville for a while and been to this mosque on several occasions. One of the reasons I end up going is because of the convenience; however, I've come to realize that the mosque has an old and run down feeling.
The TV on the women's side doesn't work, the microphone the Imam has been using for the last three Friday's has been cutting in and out.
I'm not a fan of Imam Wasif, but that has more to do with his lack of follow up on a personal matter I conferred with him on over a year ago. He didn't have the courtesy to get back with me on a response.
I think a masjid should feel inviting and there's not anything about this mosque that makes me feel inspired. I also dislike the barrier (which is unattractive between the men and women's side). I'd like to see the imam when he's speaking.
The board should consider making some enhancements so people look forward to attending the masjid and connecting...
