I stopped here for a quick glance at what was back here..as its across from the church my grandpa used to go to. I chatted with perry..the older gentleman who was watering flowers out there for the 3rd time that day on the near 100 degree July 30th The place is beautiful to wonder around and I listen to the sounds and wonder what it did sound like many years ago. I enjoy the small chat w perry who I think said he taught school from 1967 to 2013 He was watering the flowers and recommended a few books the war.

Nice park to remember the worst part of our history. Seems like it would be hard to have anything but contempt for the Confederacy when you learn stories of the Morgan Raiders. I can almost see a band of people today doing the same thing and putting a flag on their shirt or ball cap and say it is ok because they have a duty to raise up against the government. No, at the individual level this type of raid/warfare is just murder and theft. No honor in that.

My pictures show how nice it turned out. I love the area. It was beautiful. And so informative. I recommend Everyone go see it! A beautiful place to learn some Indiana history and how our forefathers lived.
