Bear Wallow Distillery — Attraction in Indiana

Overall had a Blast . Went for some Gnaw Bone bourbon but left with almost $500 of Moonshine, Rye, and of course, Bourbon .. did a light tasting and had a drink each .. they sell all the alcohol and liquors/liquores for the drinks .. they will even givnyou the recipes for any of the drinks they sell .. ! got some peach and ginger (syrups) so pretty much all sugar .. but the drinks were made well and I like being able to add less/more if I want when at home or entertaining .. to get there is just over an hour drive south of Indy and well worth it .. sheet metal building which doesnt look like much at first but Mike (owners spouse, who admitted this is a MWBE-based business) spoke of distribution and sales .. wish they could get more into the main stream as it is a local, State of Indiana product and should be supported .. ! I didnt like the fact it cost more at the distillery than at the liquor store .. but yes Id do it again, good drinks, t-shirts, vats of alcohol, tiny tastings with lively conversation and all .. 5 Stars here for this home-based business who had found that rare niche of product...

My wife and I have been here a few times with different groups of people for tours, and we've still learned something every time and enjoyed every one of them. Bear Wallow is family-owned, and they're amazing and friendly people to talk with. Beyond just the tours, they have an expanding portfolio of whiskeys and flavored moonshines, and there's something for everyone, from the neat bourbon drinker to cocktail drinkers, and everything in between.
