Definitely more for mountain biking than for hiking. Trails weren't well marked and I found myself walking in circles more than once. As it is the off season and was a week day, it was not busy at all. As a lone female hiker, I always try to be vigilant and saw questionable characters in the parking lot when I arrived. I waited until I was sure they had moved on before heading the opposite direction. However, when I got to the Lookout Shelter, a male was just cresting the small hill behind it. As soon as he saw me, he looked alarmed as if he'd been caught doing something. He looked behind him, then took something from around his neck before quickly turning around and going back the way he came. His behavior was so bizarre that I took out my pepper spray and my cell phone and practically ran the mile back to my car. It's a nice park but I didn't feel safe at all.
