Very pretty hike! Takes about a mile to get to this little waterfall (when there is a fork, take a left onto the trail marked "long loop" and a left again when you reach the river). I recommend going shortly after or during a rain, because there's not a lot of water that flows on this. And there will be some mud, but mostly the trail is packed well enough that it's not super muddy.

This is a really pretty nature preserve. Some of the paths are overgrown, so make sure you wear bug spray. There is a two mile trail and a shorter trail loop as well. When you turn off the paved road it looks a bit like you are driving onto private property, fear not, you will soon see this sign and the small parking area.

One of the most pristine natural areas in Jennings County. The spring ephemerals are breathtaking, especially the bluebells. There is a remnant hemlock tree stand overlooking the Muscatatuck. Something to see around every corner in every season. A must for nature enthusiasts.

This hike is especially gorgeous in early spring. Everything is just busting with new life and the wild flowers are endless! I did the longer hike with my 10 & 5 year old & we just lover love it. Its not very hard for little legs or out of shape bodies lol but was one of the most beautiful hikes I've done. We did the shorter hike this morning adding my youngest who will be 3 in August and she trooped it out I just carried her a little at the end hill. That hike was obviously not as regularly hiked because at first it was wuite overgrown but it turned back into a nice clear trail after a...

I love the nature preserve and have been visiting for many years. The beauty of the trees, flowers, and the soothing sounds of nature never cease to amaze me. It’s the perfect place to escape and recharge. The preserve offers both a short trail, which is about a mile long, and a longer trail that stretches over 2 miles. While both can be a bit challenging, they are well worth it for the stunning scenery. One of the highlights is the picturesque waterfall, and the long trail runs beautifully alongside the river, adding to the peaceful ambiance. I never grow tired...
