This is a beautiful historical spot to visit when you're in the area. The bridge and surrounding area make for great photos and beautiful views. We stopped by here to grill out in the small picnic area and had a great time. This spot also has a boat ramp and its easy to launch your canoes or kayaks out of.

Beautiful bridge with a nice display and parking area. There is a short trail, but it is not well maintained and doesn't enhance the experience, except to maybe get a pic from the river if you are willing to go down a somewhat steep hill.

A beautiful old bridge in the hometown of my father in law and generations of my husband's family! A beautiful historic bridge worth the drive!

Today it was so crowded that I stumbled and fell scraping my knee and elbow pretty badly. However, I love the bridge and that area and visit often. We got lots of pictures . Most times it is very peaceful at the bridge but today was festival times and so many people was there. Food, drinks, music, dancing, many vendors for shopping and entertainment for the children. They even had horses to ride. The Bulldogs Band...

We went Saturday to the bridge and it was great and the food was delicious. Went up town on Sunday at 11:00 am was very surprised that either alot of people left the night before or early Sunday morning. And for alot of the people still set up they was packing...

Beautiful old wooden covered bridge. Just make sure, your vehicle is not too large to cross it. There's a way to get to the other side, without driving across it. Plenty of nice paved roads in the area, Matthews is nice little rural town. Hotels are available, in the area. Would make a great fall Sunday excursion. You can sit and enjoy the river, have a...
