The southern terminus of the Knobstone Trail and a good sized horse camp for those there to enjoy those trails. Didn't stay at the SRA, so no comment there. No camping the first 2 miles of the KT, but the first 2 miles aren't that rough at all, pretty easy to make it in if you're getting a late start.

Deam Lake is a short trip if you want to hit the water close to Louisville. If you’re looking for calm flat waters to drop a kayak in with your kids, this is a great location. There’s also a nice brach area with plenty of room for swimming. Pack a lunch and enjoy!

This a wonderful place to enjoy mother nature. The lake is great for paddle boarding and kayaking. Parking is easy and convenient and the beach has shelters for eating and hanging out. Do yourself a solid and enjoy the great outdoors!

Deam Lake is good for recreation. There are no complaints about the recreation area. But the employees are rude. I have been there several times and have been treated disrespectfully. Once we were literally kicked out of the covered tent, threatening the police.Another time, the most incompetent people are sitting at the entrance. They ask for a driver's license at the entrance to know how to count you, I am a resident of Indiana, but I often drive different cars. When they see a different plate on a car, they don't care what state you are a resident of. They count you by your plate, not by your driver license. This has really angered me several times. And I explained to them that I am a resident of Indiana, but they treated it disrespectfully and said that they don't care because my plate is not Indiana. Next time, I'll specifically come with Indiana plate so as not to overpay and not...

Cabins are amazing and cute. The swing on the porch was the cherry on top. Caught roughly 10 catfish, few blue gill and a turtle or two. Was a three day stay, and I got to witness something amazing. Must have been just born but saw a catfish the size of a minnow that was straight midnight black. Going back tomorrow for an one all night fishing trip with my mother in law, husband, niece and old pitbull named Bleu. (side note: This is Aimee, his wife. On...

Only 40 minutes from my house so it’s a nice little weekend get away. Lake is clean and refreshing. Plenary of picnic space and one site grills if you’d like to cook out. Playground is somewhat small but still enjoyable. Kids are too busy swimming anyways, really. Did not have the chance to check out the campground but the park is very scenic and lovely. Highly recommend for a...
