Lake Wawasee — Attraction in Indiana

First time captaining a boat and I did awesome! So peaceful out on the water, all the passersby wave & nobody causes drama with other boaters that I have seen. It's very easy to cruise gently or really get going on a speedboat. Many people have American flags proudly displayed on the docks. There's a nice boat launch & ppl will usually help you if u want to receive it. A big grass field provides a great picnic place as well. There's a sandbar & I can't wait to get out...

Great lake to play on in the summer. There is lakefront lodging, marinas (rent a boat if you don't have one), various food options. Most of the lake shore is privately owned however there is public access and swimming at the sandbar, no public beach. Fishing is ok, avoid high traffic time, the lake gets rough with speed boats...

Lake Wawasee is the largest natural lake in Indiana. It has a large sand bar for people to bring their boats and anchor while relaxing or kids can swim.
