They've really stepped up their game at Rogers Lakewood in the past few years. Amazing for walks/hikes/runs, picnics and hangouts, and I'm told by the strangers I meet here that it's solid disc golfing. Grew up coming here, and my heart is glad to see it remain popular. Still unholy amounts of geese crap everywhere, but there's always serpents in Eden I suppose. It's strange - my immediate reaction is to be repulsed by being charged $6 to enter with my vehicle. But consider this: - It's free if you just walk in - they are putting your money to use, the courses and rest sections have become better maintained - it's well cleaned and is really quite full of walks and activities - you'd spend x3 as much to do something less fun, probably. Give it a try, it's well worth your time.

The disc golf is on a championship level course that gives you quite the challenge. The parks mow it religiously and the club makes as many improvements as they can yearly. Definitely the gem of the park to me. The lake has decent access for boats but the lot can get tight when there's multiple boats or disc leagues. The paved paths are all nice but some of the unpaved go right through disc golf holes. Be careful if you go on those. The pavilions are fine and well covered.

Great place for our family reunion. Our area was very clean! The trails were well kept. We had plenty of space to spread out, eat & play. Plenty of fishing sites were available for use. We had a shelter with men & women bathrooms which was great for our more elder members as well as all the children. There were overhead lights in the shelter which helped since it was overcast. There were between 65-70 people, & at one point we all fit under the shelter comfortably.

Another great Valparaiso park to enjoy! There are some very picturesque spots at this park, and a seemingly unlimited number of things to do here for the entire family. Just some of the things that you can do here include Frisbee Golf, paddle boating on the enclosed lake, basketball, and scenic nature walks of various lengths. My only reason for a less-than-perfect rating is the fact that this park charges admission fees during certain times of the year. While the fees clearly are at least in part applied to this expansive recreational area, call me old-fashioned when I suggest that such local treasures should be free for all to enjoy at all times. If you must pay a fee for entry, however, this park...

Roger's-Lakewood Park is a great place to bring the family. Been coming here for many years and never had a bad time. There are activities for the whole family to do. Even in the winter time you can go sledding or even walk the beautiful trails through the park. The disc golf park is another great activity here and one of my favorites. More activities include fishing, basketball, walling your dog and people even exercise by running, walking or climbing the large hills in the back...
