do not recommend. family went here after dinner as we wanted to enjoy the beautiful evening outdoors. i sent my adult children inside the building for a [second] wine slushie @ 8:30pm. they were told that it was past last call. my over 21 children then watched two older women (who walked up to the counter after them) tell the employees they were “there to meet friends” and proceeded to watch each of the ladies get served a glass of wine.
after i was told what happened, i personally watched the 2 ladies walk to a table under the awning WITH glasses of wine to meet their friends. (were my 29 & 21yr old refused due to their age? confusing since they did walk up prior to the older ladies).
boo to the employee wearing the green tee stating “mama needs wine”. we had cash & were taught to tip well, your loss.
ps 2 ee’s did not announce last call on their speakers, they did not have their musician announce last call nor did they send a bartender outside to ask each table of guests would like another (last) drink.
we drove 30 minutes for this. i should have known from the incident with the nursing home residents shortly after the pandenic this was a bad idea & i should not give them my business. (turns out they didn't want it anyway).
pps the plastic flowers and gaudy windmill sticks clash @ the entrance with the aesthetic of the building.
it is a good thing we have another winery, also 15 miles from downtown fort wayne.
had to give one star so i could post...
Read moreMy wife, father in law and I went in just after they opened. No signs anywhere saying it was by reservation only, but they had an open table available and seated us. We happened to have my wife’s service dog with us...no mention that he couldn’t come in and there was only one other table with two patrons being served. The person who seated us retrieved the slushy I ordered as we waited for the the other server to come place our order. Instead she told us that our little poodle who was asleep in my wife’s lap that he wasn’t allowed in the patio. She told us the owners saw on the security cameras that we were there and asked us to leave. We will not return. They’re slushees are over priced and they did not handle us properly. If they had a private event set up they should’ve let us know when we walked in that we couldn’t be served today. My wife and her father were wearing camouflage clothing and our thoughts are they didn’t want us there if they we’re having more “upscale” customers about to come in. We used to recommend them to our friends and family who came into town to visit. We won’t be sending anyone we know there any more.
In response to the response made, the server never asked if he was a service animal. My wife went and got his credentials and was told they were not allowed to ask if they’re a service animal. She told my wife she...
Read moreThis place is awesome! First of all, the design is fabulous which is apparent when driving up to the building. The rock walls are reminiscent of similar artwork seen at the IMA. The tasting prices were just right and the staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Emily (not the owner but the other one lol) was our primary consultant. She guided us through our tasting and shared little tidbits that gave it a personal touch. All of this was what one might expect from a tasting but isn't always carried out so well, especially considering it was quite busy during that time. My husband I are lovers of dry reds and we were not disappointed. While we particularly loved the cab and the tannat, all were delicious. This is something not often found in many Indiana wineries we have visited (and we have visited many). We also enjoyed some of the whites including the traminette which is the best I've tasted. They have a nice selection of charcuterie and cheeses which is nice if just enjoying a cocktail before dinner. We enjoyed the fact they had a food truck with great food to partake of on the lovely patio overlooking the vineyard. It's a beautiful place! We are already planning our next trip! Keep up the wonderful work! Keep making fantastic wines (including dry reds)! P.S. How about another Two-ees closer to the Carmel, Westfield, or the...
