Webster Lake — Attraction in Indiana

A beautiful lake in northern Indiana, (Kosciusko county) amoung many lakes that people love to enjoy the year around and especially in the summertime!!!! The paddle-wheel Dixie Boat has taken many a visitor and love-struck couples around the lake for a one-hour sight-seeing tour of the shore-line for over 75 years!! One of the captains in years past was Ernie Huffman who would "toot" the steam-whistle to residents along the shore and a grand wave sent back in return for the joy of seeing the Dixie once again!! Oh, for those wonderful memories of yesteryear and still today!!! The Dixie played an important role in the annual Epworth Forest Choir School Saturday Night musical, "Showboat" in early August. Choir School members would board the Dixie and perform a full evening's entertainment from "Ol' Man River" to "Showboat" musical productions and skits to capacity crowds on the banks!! We spent 4 days on the lake at an Air B&B. We had a great time! We had a pontoon for the time we were their. The lake is very easy to navigate, and we found plenty of places to stop and swim. We were on the water during the week, so lake traffic was very light. This trip was very relaxing and great for our family of 5. We would definitely like to come back.
