First year on Witmer Lake and I love it! (We've had places on Lake George and Hamilton before)... The kids absolutely love the island sandbar! It has a good, firm, sandy bottom and shallow depth perfect for my 5yr old.. Lots of undeveloped shoreline on Witmer (and the rest of the chain) to explore with a fishing boat or kayak.. It's an All Sports Lake so you can ski and tube as well... If you're looking for something a little more quite just take your boat into one of the smaller fishing lakes on the chain.. this place really offers the best...

A lovely lake that is part of the Indian Chain of Lakes in Northern Indiana. It is an all sports lake, good for skiing and fishing. The small island in the middle has a sand bar that is good for taking a break or taking the kids swimming. We plan to be at Witmer Lake EVERY YEAR for our vacation! Ever July, we met all our friends from across the nation here while driving all the way from Colorado OURSELVES,, and call it Captain & Diet Fest. We've been doing that for 15 years now, and DO NOT plan on stopping any time soon. THAT is how amazing Witmer Lake happens to be
