We visited just for the playground, which is large and has a lot of fun things for the kids to do. The playground area is partially surrounded by a wall, which helps keep the kids from running into the rest of the park or into the parking lot. There are a good number of benches for adults, several of them shaded, at least around noon-1 when we were there. There's also a small pavilion with picnic tables near the playground and restrooms with drinking fountains. The downside was that there was a lot of trash, both on the playground and in the surrounding area. I had to throw away some drink containers when we arrived so my kids wouldn't get ahold of them. Read moreWhere do I start??? Most importantly, the women's restroom was locked and there were men hanging outside the men's restroom, so that was a no go. We left the park to use the restroom at a nearby restaurant. We had to drive down a bumpy, unpaved road to get to the shelter in the back of the park, with no clear directions how to get to the shelter. There was no electricity for music devices in the shelter. We went for a walk on the trails and poison ivy is growing wild. Every time the wind blew, there was a smell of death coming from the woods. Read moreWe were visiting from out of town and took our grandkids there. It was July 9th and apparently they had not cleaned up from 4th of July. Trash everywhere. Also some shady (men) congregating around one car. And they were not there with kids or to exercise . We left because we did not feel safe. And we weren’t the only ones. One lady came and looked around and then left with her child and the other guy that was there with his two little girls said he was shocked. Unfortunate because it was really nice other than that.
