Windsor Village Park — Attraction in Indianapolis

The cordinator, staff, and volunteers here are so friendly and welcoming. I'm new to the state and come here on Thursdays for their amazing food pantry. The community is extremely friendly. I am beyond grateful for this place and the extremely friendly, loving staff and volunteers. I've met my neighbors and have made some friends I wouldn't of otherwise met. It's in a pretty secluded back end of the neighborhood, not much traffic at all. Has an indoor basketball court lots of ground to relax, play, or eat on. Overall, definitely a highly recommended place for kids and families. Food pantry is every Thursday inside the gym. Begins at 1pm but I get there about 11am people start getting there at 10am. There's about 20 people there already when I show. They open doors and pass out numbers at noon so the earlier you're there the better. Usually about 30-50 people are there. They had an Easter Egg Hunt for mult ages with 5,000 eggs so everyone got some and if you didn't get much they gave out eggs and candy bags for home too! They had a coloring area and 2 bounce houses in the gym. My 5 yr old and 1 yr old had fun tho it was a little disorganized and crowded in beggining and a couple of volunteers we're very rude. I love this park because it is so close, but during the summer the spray pad almost never works. It is so disappointing because there are so many kids in walking distance of this park, why not keep it working?! There is a walking path and the park is always very clean, it is just frustrating that I have to take my baby to a park so far away when I have one right in the neighborhood. Also, when you go, if you are a sitter take a chair. There's only one bench near...
