Otter Creek Park — Attraction in Indianola

THE SITES ARE NOT FREE!! $Pay the $5.00 a night or you WILL get a visit from the warrren county conservation department either that same night, or the morning.

Loud drunks, entitled city campers that are not considerate of other campers, they stayed up til about 5am yelling so if you drive that big blue truck you suck a lot.

We had to pack everything back out the next day at the hike in spot to a new open site.

The guy from dnr that told us was so nice about it, no hate to him he was doing his job. It was just embarrassing for us to have to get kicked out of that spot as they have had ample time to post it on the park map (even if it was a covered piece of paper and on the website/online. We had camped there a month or so prior and no one had told us it was closed/ it was not posted so we thought it was open as it wasn’t stated anywhere that the hike in spots are closed.

It's under gone changes from a foot bridge to cross the pond has been removed. Rather interesting to walk over the water than around the shore.

The shelter is an rustic, ample and the large open green space in front of the shelter makes it a good place for a picnic.

The trails are well laid out, the park has ahistoric country feel winding gravel driveway, camping, observation deck, basic outhouse, prairie grass plus wooded areas is a get away from...

I loved the trails and prairie. I was out there for an hour with my dog and did not walk all the trails. The shelter is nice and looks well maintained. Camp sites are closed and all the pits are removed. Big watch out, there may be some sketchy people there. You're either alone, or it looks like people are doing drugs in the praire in the back.
