Our wedding services company Complete Entertainment of Gaffney provided Planning, Directing, and DJ services for Kayla and Josh's wedding - which was located here at Bishop's Farm. We had so much fun on the Friday before the wedding - Directing the wedding party on what to do the next day. It was complete with a pro DJ set up to sync all of the wedding party perfectly to the brides satisfaction.
This venue is more than just a built-for-weddings type of place. This place has true, unpretentious history and country charm. This property was a fully functional peach farm and processing location in it's distant past.
The peach trees and processing equipment are long gone from the property but, when you walk into the building (which is now the main wedding venue) - you can still feel the presence of all of those dedicated workers making their way into that building each day to support their families. The floors are all completely original (though worn, still in beautiful shape). This I feel adds onto the authenticity of the truest meaning of "rustic". This place wasn't built 10 years ago to look rustic and older - it is the uncontrived definition of rustic.
There is a secluded wooded area, on the property - which people usually choose to have their ceremony. It was planted with pine trees by the U.S. Forestry Service a while ago, with trees in almost perfect rows and densely packed.
The "cut-out" area of this wooded spot is in a perfect rectangle and slopes gently downward towards where there stands an 8' cross, in front of which is where the Officiant or Minister stands. The benches for guests are all made from rough cut wood and are the most charming looking benches for a country/old-timey look.
The wood deck on the main building is huge and would accommodate up to maybe 60-70 people at one time. There are two very big sliding doors that open onto the deck from the main building. This allows an option of guests choosing to stay within the barn but still feel like they are part of anything going on out on the deck (and visa versa).
All of this is in addition to the sweet lady Nan Bishop, who owns and operates the property. She is usually around prior to the ceremony to make sure everyone has the venue related things they need. Then she is gone to allow you to have a nice private event without feeling like she is watching over everything.

Read moreMy wife and I tied the knot at Bishop Farms on 09-22-2019. It was an amazing experience and the venue was a fantastic place to experience our wedding at. The barn is spacious, yet simple, so it essentially gives you a blank slate to do pretty much whatever you'd like. The dressing rooms in the basement are spacious and well equipped to meet anyone's needs. The deck outside of the barn is quite spacious as well. There are several fans on the main floor of the barn, coupled with the doors providing plenty of ventilation.
Over all, super pleased with our experience here and would definitely recommend you considering it...
