Went there on march 29,2025 and wasn’t impressed by the variety and quality and quantity of tulips . There were hardly 10 rows with only 1 or 2 rows having good quality tulips planted . Wouldn’t recommend going there if you live in charlotte area and drive 1.4hrs just to see very thin line of tulips . Wanted yellow ones but most were full bloomed and broken apart! Oh-my-goodness! You would not believe this place!! I spent a good part of the afternoon at Thompson's and did not want to leave. It's toward the end of the season, yet the amount of color is astounding. Pair it with the mountainous background and you have heaven!!
