Cameron Prairie National Wildlife Refuge - Gibbstown Unit — Attraction in Iowa

Nature all around you! Water, birds galore, alligators, frogs, minnows, fish, and fresh air! Great walking and driving trails. Pack a cooler of drinks, food, snacks and enjoy. Don't forget the sunscreen, fishing poles, fishing license, bait and water shoes!! A great time for anyone, beautiful landscapes for family portraits, couples and anyone into nature...

We saw like 12 gators. From babies up to mid sized. So that earns an automatic 4.5 out of 5. Pretty hard to beat seeing dinosaurs with your own eyeballs. Also saw some really neat birds. A gnarly snake. And some wicked turtles. No, our visit was not in the 1990's. It's just the most appropriate words for the experience....
