I recently had the privilege of getting married at this beautiful temple, which holds a special place in my heart. The temple itself is beautiful, exuding an aura of tranquility and grace.
However, I must share my disappointment with the temple wedding organizers who were responsible for arranging the event. Despite their promises, the chairs were not properly arranged for the wedding ceremony, and the expected decorations for the welcome table and entrances were noticeably absent. The absence of white cloth covers on the chairs was quite noticeable as well.
On the morning of our wedding, my interactions with the decorations team, particularly Smita, were disheartening. Her rude demeanor was unexpected and unprofessional. We were informed that they couldn't provide the decorations or chair arrangements due to a shortage of volunteers. This information, unfortunately, was not communicated earlier, preventing us from making alternate arrangements.
It's worth noting that my family and I had visited the temple a day before the wedding to offer assistance and had even helped set up the tent. Despite our willingness to contribute, Smita insisted they couldn't help because we didn't show up. This inconsistency in communication was frustrating and left us feeling unsupported.
While the temple's beauty is unquestionable, my experience with the temple wedding organizers has left a bitter aftertaste. I hope that future couples considering this temple for their weddings will be met with better coordination and communication from the organizers, ensuring that their special day is as flawless as the...
Read moreOur family holds a deep and special appreciation for the temple and its dedicated volunteers. We had our wedding there last year, which initially seemed like a daunting prospect, with our parents traveling from India to oversee the preparations. However, looking back, our wedding day was an absolute success, thanks to the unwavering dedication and support of the temple volunteers. They went above and beyond to ensure our parents were comfortable and were consistently responsive and warm towards us.
Throughout the planning and execution phases, the volunteers were incredibly prompt and attentive. The mandap decoration was exquisite, and the breakfast served to our guests on the wedding day was delectable. The tent arrangements perfectly matched my wife's parents' vision, thanks to the receptive nature of the volunteers, who eagerly incorporated feedback.
The day before the wedding, our family spent time at the temple, feeling genuinely welcomed due to the volunteers' enthusiasm in making the arrangements. What impressed our parents was that the volunteers were genuinely interested in our feedback and implemented the changes to ensure we were happy. The priest, too, was cooperative and understanding, ensuring that all the necessary rituals were performed beautifully.
Overall, reminiscing about our wedding day always brings a smile to our faces. Our guests were delighted, and the hospitality we received from the temple and its volunteers leaves us feeling...
Read moreWent with some friends on June 3rd, 2018 to check it out. It's a beautiful 3 story temple that sticks out of the Iowa farmland like a shiny alabaster beacon to art and craftmanship. When we arrived, we took off our shoes and then walked right in. There was a ceremony and we were welcomed into the inner hall. Everyone was friendly and we had lunch with them. It was a wonderful vegetarian meal with lots of variety. The children that came with us enjoyed the playground. This is a really great place with a friendly culture, so please check out their customs and rules (like no shoes or cameras inside, silencing cellphones during ceremonies, etc.), so we can preserve it and continue...
