Mill Creek State Park — Attraction in Iowa

If you love to camp, take a nature hike, swim, fish or Kayak, check out Mill Creek Park. Nice clean beach with nice clean showers and bathrooms. There is a concession stand that has a very nice selection of food to choose from. If you aren't in the mood to cook but don't want to drive very far, the concession stand has tables for you to enjoy a nice meal by the lake. There is plenty to do here with a never ending gorgeous backdrop to enjoy. They offer two cabins that can be rented either for a weekend or for the whole week. if you plan on camping make sure to reserve your spot early enough as the spaces fill up fast. Awesome place to go camping, fishing, swimming, or all 3 at once. Great little beach and dock with a roped off area for swimming. Also the fishing can be great from the shore or a boat. (Electric motors only please) And there is a fish cleaning station on site. There's a nice food shack with many different choices, and great ice cream treats. The employees there are super nice also. The camp ground is separate from the test of the park so you don't have random people driving thru all of the time. Decent playground for the kids also, and the campground host is extremely welcoming. All camp sites are first come first serve with no reservations so get there early. My favorite go-to place! Great fishing, great camping sites, the swimming beach is meticulously combed every day, the food shack is very reasonably priced, yummy and very clean. All shower houses are cleaned and disinfected properly, this includes the bathroom stalls. Also, stalls are always stocked with TP, etc al.
