The Cellar Winery — Attraction in Iowa

We got married at The Cellar, & were very pleased with how things went. Given our short timeline (booked two months before the wedding), John worked with us to ensure our day was special. Amazing wine!

We met John during a visit to the East Village in Des Moines. He was very friendly and went out of the way to tell us about the winery and educate us on the process of wine making.

I am not a big fan of Iowa wines, but his wine was amazing. If you are looking for wines that are equal to many imports into Iowa, his wine is spot on. Say goodbye to your typical sweet and fruity Iowa wine.

The people working the bar are knowledgeable, friendly, and fun to be around. We really liked the winery.

It was "Oktoberfest" day. Perfect weather for a fall day with a band, several fire pits, and places to sit and enjoy the music.

My wife and I enjoyed the German food they had on hand, along with the craft beer and wine. Great experience in an out of way location.
