Wapsi River Environmental Education Center — Attraction in Iowa

We attended the Saving with Sustainability Workshop. We gained knowledge on how to make our compost healthier & also made our own rain barrel. Christian was helpful & friendly. They were both great educational classes. 🌍🍄🌞 Attended another great event today at the Wapsi Center. The Wild Flower Hike was led by Michael Granger. He was fun & knowledgleable. He also had a very nice educated Alumni helper. I'm sorry I didn't remember his Name. Missed owls at the farmers market in Davenport iowa. We drove out to wapsi river environmental center with our 3-year-old granddaughter. The center is open til 4 pm on Saturdays. There was no-one around. When I called the numbers on the door or was the big call someone else circle. People say great things about this place, but I wasn't impressed. Maybe next time it will be better, this time...

Visited the park June 11 to observe the Cicada Brood XIII. What a fun hike! Besides cicadas I saw different species of dragonflies, frogs, tadpoles, water snakes, and newts!!
